The PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X celebrate their first birthday — and have an equally successful as disappointing start behind them. Successful because both consoles sell significantly better than their predecessors. Disappointing because they would probably be even better if you could buy them reasonably!
The first year next-gene was a twofold year. Strong hardware and promising games on the one hand, lousy availability (including scalping) and shifts on the other hand.
